Adidas Olympiad Sweatshirt Moscow St Moritz

Product Description
Adidas Olympiad Sweatshirt Moscow St MoritzThis is an Adidas Olympiad sweatshirt which features two olympics. The front commemorates the 1948 Winter Olympics held in St. Moritz, Switzerland. The St. Moritz winter olympics of 48' was the first olympic games to be celebrated after World War II which is why this neutral territory was chosen but still there was much political tension throughout these games. The back commemorates the 1980 Olympic games in Moscow, Soviet Union (today Russia). These olympics were memorable for the fact that the United States and several other countries boycotted the games due to the Soviet Unions invasion of Afghanistan. This led to the Soviet Union's boycott of the 1984 Olympics which were held in Los Angeles, California (US). This sweatshirt is truly special representing much political controversy and it is also incredibly rare. Any vintage collector would be making a mistake by not adding this piece to their collection.
