This is an Adidas Olympiad pullover for the 1972 Summer Olympics (XX) and the 1912 Olympics (V). In the 20th (XX) Summer Olympics held in Munich, West Germany (Democratic Germany) went by the name "the Happy Games". This sweater features the Games' logo "The Bright Sun". These Olympics are best known for the tragic event known as the "Munich Massacre" in which Palestinian terrorists, of the group "Black September", kidnapped and murdered 11 Israeli athletes and coaches. There is much history captured within this vintage Adidas sweater and any vintage collector would appreciate this piece.
